Hi, I'm June! Creator and Author behind Juniper's Castle, and lover of all things fantasy.

You may know me from the realms of TikTok, Instagram, or other social media platforms (@Junipers_Castle in all the places) There, I often cosplay my original character and heroine of my novel-series-in-progress: Princess Juniper.

Here at the website, I like to showcase more of my first love–writing! You’ll find all sorts of written content like personal blogs about travel, lifestyle and book updates or think pieces like book and movie reviews and weigh in on other pop culture topical moments. And, of course, you’ll get exclusive first looks at excerpts from my novel series in progress!

I get a lot of questions about my personal fantasy favorites and inspiration for my own work. One of my favorite franchises of all time would have to be the Legend of Zelda. I grew up adventuring and side questing with Link, Zelda, and the citizens of Hyrule, and I’d like to think that shaped a lot of who I am today.

Other favorite books, movies, and tv shows include (but are not limited to): The Chronicles of Pyrdain, movies from the Disney renaissance, Studio Ghibli films (particularly Howl’s Moving Castle), Pirates of the Carribean, Harry Potter (I am a Ravenclaw), Game of Thrones, How to Train Your Dragon, H2O: Just Add Water, ACOTAR/TOG, The Wizard of Oz (and now Wicked), in which case I also must acknowledge Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Lord of the Rings. Honorable mention to sci-fi favorites: Ocean Girl, The 100, Stranger Things and LOST, and my favorite childhood show, The Secret World of Alex Mac.

Also yes I do enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, unfortunately no, I don’t have time to join any campaigns at the moment!

I am working hard to get my manuscript ready for publication, that has been my number one priority as of late. It’s been my dream to publish a fantasy book of a world of my own making since I was a child. I was often told I lived in my own fantasy land, and now I intend to share it with you!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the content here on the website, hope to see you around on socials, and can’t wait to update you as more things unfold.

A little more about me: When I'm not creating or consuming fantasy content of all sorts, I love to be outside. I enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking and trail running with my dog Willow and water sports like swimming, SCUBA, wakeboarding and sailing. I also have my skydiving license, which I don’t get use as often these days, but when I do, my favorite discipline is flying wingsuits. I love to travel, whether internationally, domestically or simply exploring our local coastal areas of New England where I reside with my husband of 7 years.
